At Herter Community Gardens we created a pollinator-friendly space by planting native perennials and shrubs. Pollinators attracted by our garden benefit neighboring vegetable plots. The community gardeners have actively been supporting native plants throughout the garden, as well as in the pollinator plot. The garden is an outdoor classroom for children from the community. Because of its location on the Charles River, this garden is our most visited site.
