Pollinator Networks is happy to partner with Penniman Road Community Garden, made possible by a grant from the New England Grassroots Environment Fund. Together we planted a pollinator garden that supports both native bees and aids in the fertilization and health of the community garden plots. Before the garden was established, the site was a paved, untended vacant lot. The garden has been self-governing through the efforts of volunteer coordinators since its inception. Penniman Road Community Garden's mission is to represent the diversity of the neighborhood by providing a space for urban gardening and neighbor-to-neighbor connections while safeguarding a local, sustainable food source.
